We're looking for a Content Marketing Specialist to help accelerate our growth.

As Content Marketing Specialist, you will:

  • [Fundamentals] Deeply understand our target audience. Know where our audience spends their time and how they want to consume content. Stay on top of trending topics that they care about.
  • [Writing] Create content aim to educate and entertain our target audience from awareness to adoption. Write for humans, not bots -- your work is SEO optimized without sacrificing quality.
  • [Content distribution + Social management]: Own our content distribution calendar; create, measure, experiment to amplify our content and brand's reach. experiment with new distribution tactics -- within and outside of social media.
  • [Customer marketing]: partner with CSM to build content and programs to drive adoption and increase customer advocacy. This includes but not limited to monthly user emails, gifting, social leaderboards, etc.

How you'll ramp

...within your first week...

  • You'll get an in-depth product training
  • You'll get familiar with our target persona and competitive landscape
  • You'll audit our existing content, social and other touch points
  • You'll listen to recorded customer and sales calls
  • You'll have 1:1 with all team members

...day 30...

  • You'll work closely with content lead to develop a buyer journey map, content & social calendars to support it
  • You'll have published the first few social posts, measure KPI, experiment and iterate
  • You'll have published your first few content pieces

...day 60...

  • You’ll be actively executing the social calendar
  • You'll coach the UG on how to build their brand on social and to amplify UserGems brand
  • You'll start sharing some early data about social performance against the KPIs, and distribution ideas to experiment
  • You'll collaborate with customer success to incorporate advocacy into our plans
  • You'll continue publishing new long-form content

...day 90...

  • You'll collaborate with sales, demand, customer success to identify new edutaining (social) content
  • You'll work with the exec team on building their social brands
  • You'll continue publishing new long-form content and help editing other writers' work
  • You'll continuously propose distribution ideas (write once, distribute forever) and measure them

What you've accomplished so far
  • You’re a wizard of words – both written and spoken. You know how to explain complex concepts in clear, pithy prose.
  • You love using SEO data to inform your content decisions and determine to improve your content ranking
  • You've created end-to-end content funnels, across channels, formats, and mediums
  • You're known as someone who writes like you talk and hates marketing buzzwords
  • You've come up with creative ideas for content that cut through the noise
  • You're excited about building things from scratch and wearing multiple hats
  • You have partnered with sales, customer success, and product for content
  • Previous content marketing experience at a B2B SaaS company is a PLUS
  • Familiarity with using Google Analytics and data to show your impact is a PLUS
